About Me
Adelia Nayeli Martinez
Hello! Now if you go this far, congratulations! I hope you liked my portfolio as I tried to make it a digital representation of who I am and what I am about. So let's start with some insight.
I am a designer. I enjoy experimenting with all forms of design from web and mobile to graphics and even some motion. I love to play with all styles of design and create a product that has the wow factor but I'm always open to critiques because it's a valuable part of learning. I am never one to stray from a specific style (no matter if it scares me) because it becomes a chance to expand my range and knowledge and it helps with the ideation process- something I often far too much time in. I love exploring and experimenting and finding new things that work well from a UX/UI standpoint but also from an aesthetically pleasing viewpoint. And also because my creations sometimes scare others. I'm just scary like that.
I also love writing. I found that I enjoy writing plays, scene scripts, and short stories with a bit of poetry on the side. I haven't had the chance to do some technical writing but if given the chance, I'm all for it. Through my experience managing social media accounts and designing posts and captions, I found that my skills for the creative part of writing came in handy; mixed with a portion of professional writing, I found it enjoyable to do.
Below is basically my B-Side. Here are a few snapshots of some of the other work I've done in the past four years: a bit of motion design using After Effects, one thing of 3D modeling using Cinema 4D, and a few examples of the social media posts I've done.
And my cat.
Motion Graphics
Fall 2022 | Concept | Title Sequence
This is a title sequence concept based on a fictional Horror Western movie.
Fall 2022 | Concept | Channel ID
This is a Channel ID for and inspired by Adult Swim.
I highly recommend watching in full screen.
3D
For this project, we had to create a realistic, simple scene using a single chosen object and place it in a 1 cubic foot scene at an isometric view. I chose a syringe and needle in a hospital ward environment, complete with the worn-down wooden table, white tiled walls, and metal tray. I debated putting blood splatters but decided against it to keep it simple. My favorite part is the two needle tips standing along the wall on the right because it shows the length and sharpness of the needles, feeding the fear many people have of needles. I love my horror vibes.
Social Media
These are a few of the social media posts I've done during my senior capstone project: MOLD.
